Since March, the global pandemic has exposed and reinforced the racial and economic inequalities that exist in the city of Paterson, New Jersey. Today, citizens suffer from a lack of access to healthy food, affordable housing, meaningful employment, and adequate medical care.

Youth For Change NJ (YFCNJ) is asking for our local and online community to support our initiative aimed at saving the lives of the city’s most vulnerable: the homeless.

With your donation, we would be able to purchase masks, gloves, sanitizers, toiletries, and groceries for homeless individuals. Bags of PPE are expected to cost $12, and bags of groceries are expected to cost $30.

Your contribution to our non-profit organization would directly support our mission to protect the marginalized. Our quarantine kits will prevent the spread of coronavirus and our produce bags will cut a family’s weekly grocery costs by 30%, thus alleviating their financial stress.

We are extremely grateful for any help we receive. As a coalition of high schoolers, we are humbled to be making a mark in our community. We also recognize that this is only made possible by the support we receive from those who believe in our vision of an equitable future.
